Sharpshell Engineering is building a high-performance Civil and Structural Engineering Consulting capability to support major industrial clients in:

• Petrochemical plants
• Mining operations
• Heavy industrial infrastructure/manufacturing

The Mission of This Role

Your role will be to help Sharpshell develop a trusted structural engineering capability by delivering:

• High-quality investigations and assessment reports on structural steel and reinforced concrete structures
• Practical detail engineering design solutions and accurate design intent verification
• Shutdown and asset management and maintenance support (rehabilitation and strengthening solutions for existing assets)
• Professional contract administration and construction drawings

This position requires someone who can move confidently between:

• Engineering analysis and real-world site conditions
• What You Will Actually Do
• Structural Design

Applicants must have

• BTech / BEng Tech in Civil Engineering
• ECSA registration (Pr Tech Eng or Candidate) or active progression toward registration
• 3–8 years’ experience in civil/structural engineering work
• Experience with draughting and design software: AutoCad, Prokon or Robot Structural Analysis
• Experience in structural design and condition assessments

Experience in industrial environments (petrochemical, mining, and manufacturing) will be highly advantageous.

Technical Capability Expected

You should already be comfortable with:

• Structural analysis and design principles
• Structural inspection methodology
• Structural engineering reporting
• Structural analysis software
• Structural design codes (SANS standards)
