Nursing Manager - Hermanus

Nurture Health is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and accountable Nursing Manager to lead our nursing function and ensure the consistent delivery of safe, high-quality rehabilitation care.

Reporting to the Hospital Manager, you will lead the day-to-day nursing operations and a multidisciplinary nursing support team, including Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Enrolled Nursing Assistants, Care Workers, General Workers, Stock Controllers, and Ward Admin Support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead nursing operations and service delivery, ensuring nursing activities are effectively managed and aligned with Nurture Health's policies, processes, systems, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor nursing performance and clinical outcomes, identify risks and opportunities, and translate operational insights into actions that support quality, safety, continuous improvement, and informed hospital-level decision-making.
• Lead, empower, and develop the nursing team, fostering accountability, collaboration, professional conduct, and a positive nursing reputation among patients, families, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) in the category of Professional Nurse, with proven experience successfully managing a ward of more than 25 beds.
• Strong operational and people leadership capability, with the ability to analyse nursing performance, manage risk, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and influence managerial decision-making.
• A passion for people and physical rehabilitation, with a strong commitment to nursing ethics, accountability, team development, adaptability, structure, and calm leadership in high-pressure situations.
