Systems Administrator

Our client is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join their technical team in a fully onsite role based in Roodepoort. This opportunity is suited to a hands-on IT professional with experience across Linux infrastructure, cloud environments and modern deployment technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor and maintain Linux-based systems and infrastructure.
• Support Kubernetes environments and containerised workloads.
• Manage and maintain CI/CD processes and deployment environments.
• Support Kafka infrastructure and related services.
• Work with AWS cloud technologies and services.
• Monitor system performance, availability and reliability.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and technical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Assist with maintaining secure, stable and scalable IT environments.
• Collaborate with development and technical teams to support application delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Systems Administration or related infrastructure role.
• Strong Linux administration skills.
• Practical Kubernetes experience.
• Experience with CI/CD environments and processes.
• Experience with Kafka.
• AWS experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully onsite environment.
