BIM Operator - Cape Town

Our client, an established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, is looking for an experienced BIM Operator to join their Mechanical team in Granger Bay. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of building projects while collaborating with experienced engineers and professionals across the built environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing accurate BIM models and supporting the technical delivery of mechanical projects across a range of sectors.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop and maintain detailed BIM models for mechanical building services projects.
- Produce accurate technical drawings and model information using Revit.
- Support project teams with modelling and documentation requirements.
- Coordinate mechanical models with other disciplines.
- Work across multiple building projects and project types.
- Liaise with engineers and other members of the professional team to ensure project requirements are met.
Project Exposure
- Large retail centres.
- Commercial office developments.
- High-rise residential buildings.
- Luxury residential properties.
- Hotels and hospitality developments.
- Industrial distribution centres and warehouses.
- Mixed-use developments.
- Client-specific building projects.
Minimum Requirements
• Minimum 3 years' relevant BIM Modelling experience.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Relevant BIM training or certification will be advantageous.
Experience
• Experience working within a professional engineering or building services environment.
• Ability to interpret technical information and develop accurate BIM models.
• Experience collaborating with engineers, architects and other project professionals.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Skills
• Strong Revit and AutoCAD skills.
• Solid BIM modelling experience.
• Excellent attention to detail.
