Mechanical Engineer - Building Services (HVAC)

Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their Cape Town team, focusing on building services and HVAC engineering. This opportunity is suited to a professionally registered engineer with strong technical experience and a proven track record in building services projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop HVAC and mechanical building services systems.
• Manage mechanical engineering projects from concept through to completion.
• Prepare technical specifications, reports, drawings and design documentation.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction.
• Review designs, equipment selections and contractor submissions.
• Ensure engineering solutions comply with applicable standards, regulations and project requirements.

Requirements

• BEng degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional registration as a PrEng with ECSA.
• 10+ years’ experience in mechanical building services engineering.
• Strong HVAC design and project experience.
• Experience working on multidisciplinary building projects.
• Good technical, communication and project management skills.
• Based in or willing to work in Cape Town.
