SAS AML DevSecOps Specialist

Our client requires a technically strong SAS AML DevSecOps Specialist to support the automation, deployment, security and operational performance of an enterprise SAS AML environment. This role will suit a DevOps professional with strong SAS expertise and experience working across complex, highly regulated technology environments.

The successful candidate will

• Build and manage automated CI/CD pipelines for SAS AML code, metadata and scenarios.
• Promote solutions through Development, UAT and Production environments using automated deployment processes.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
• Administer and support SAS Viya environments.
• Work with Docker, Kubernetes and Helm to orchestrate containerised deployments.
• Automate operational tasks using Python, Bash/Shell or PowerShell.
• Establish monitoring, logging and alerting across SAS environments.
• Monitor SAS jobs, infrastructure health and resource utilisation.
• Integrate security checks and scanning into development and deployment pipelines.
• Manage RBAC and secure access to sensitive SAS environments.
• Support compliance and security requirements applicable to financial data.
• Coordinate releases with development and data teams.
• Maintain source control and Git branching strategies.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and assist with platform optimisation.

Technical Requirements

• 5+ years' SAS AML experience.
• 5+ years' DevOps or systems administration experience.
• Minimum 2 years' experience supporting SAS environments or enterprise financial platforms.
• Expert-level Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions experience.
• Advanced Terraform, Ansible, Chef or Puppet experience.
• Expert Docker, Kubernetes and Helm knowledge.
• Strong Python and Bash/Shell scripting capability.
• PowerShell exposure is beneficial.
• Advanced SAS Administration and SAS Viya architecture experience.
• Expert Git knowledge.
• Expert Linux/Unix administration experience.
• RHEL/CentOS experience.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana and/or ELK Stack.
• Cloud experience across AWS, Azure or GCP.

Experience & Knowledge

• Understanding of SDLC processes in highly regulated environments.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and secure deployment principles.
• Understanding of financial data privacy and compliance requirements.
• Strong understanding of production support and release management.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across Development, Operations and Data teams.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to remain effective during production incidents.

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
