A reputable law firm in Bloemfontein is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
Conveyancing Secretary to join their team. The successful candidate will have solid experience in property transfers, bond registrations and cancellations, together with strong administrative and organisational abilities.
The ideal candidate will be confident managing conveyancing files from instruction through to registration and will have excellent communication skills when dealing with clients, estate agents, financial institutions, municipalities, and the Deeds Office.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Attend to all aspects of conveyancing transfers
- Prepare and process Standard Bank and FNB bond registrations and cancellations
- Manage conveyancing files from instruction through to registration
- Liaise with clients regarding transfer and bond-related matters
- Communicate with estate agents, banks, municipalities, and the Deeds Office
- Prepare and process relevant conveyancing documentation
- Draft conveyancing documents and correspondence
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and completed within required timeframes
- Follow up on outstanding documentation and requirements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date conveyancing files
- Monitor the progress of transactions and provide regular updates to relevant parties
- Assist with general administrative duties relating to conveyancing matters
Minimum Requirements
- Previous experience in conveyancing transfers
- Experience with Standard Bank and FNB bond registrations and cancellations
- Proficient in Lexis Convey
- Proficient in AJS
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Professional communication and client service skills
- Previous experience in a law firm or conveyancing environment
