Senior Electrical Engineer

Our client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their engineering team in either Secunda or Cape Town. This opportunity is suited to an experienced electrical engineering professional with strong MV/LV industrial project experience and the technical ability to deliver detailed engineering solutions in demanding environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute electrical engineering activities on MV/LV industrial projects.
• Develop detailed electrical designs, specifications and engineering documentation.
• Design and evaluate electrical equipment, systems and networks.
• Provide technical input throughout project development and implementation.
• Solve complex engineering and technical problems proactively.
• Drive assigned tasks to completion while maintaining quality and project requirements.
• Prepare clear and professional technical reports and documentation.
• Work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Engage with clients, project teams and other stakeholders as required.

Requirements

• BEng / BSc Eng degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5–10 years' engineering experience on MV/LV projects within an industrial plant environment.
• Experience in detailed electrical design, engineering and equipment/network specification.
• Petrochemical industry experience will be highly advantageous.
• Professional registration with ECSA as a Pr Eng will be an advantage.
• Proven ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver results.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work independently and within a team.
• Self-disciplined, self-motivated and proactive.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good English report-writing ability.
