Quantity Surveyor (Building)

Our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their established construction team in Paarl. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional who enjoys working on substantial building projects and wants to be part of a well-established construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage project cost estimates, budgets and forecasts.
• Conduct measurements, valuations and cost reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage contractual and commercial aspects of building projects.
• Monitor project expenditure and identify potential cost risks.
• Review and assess variations, claims and payment certificates.
• Work closely with project teams, contractors and relevant stakeholders.
• Utilise CCS software for quantity surveying and commercial functions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience
• Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification from a university or technikon.
• Previous experience in building construction.
• Strong commercial and contractual understanding.
• Proficiency in CCS software.
• Good numerical, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a project team.
• Willingness to be office-based in Paarl.
