Couple – Relief Manager & Field Guide – Sabi Sand, Mpumalanga
Introduction
A prestigious luxury lodge in Sabi Sand, Mpumalanga is seeking a dedicated
Couple – Relief Manager & Field Guide to join its five‑star hospitality team. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to combine operational leadership with immersive guest experiences in one of South Africa’s most renowned safari destinations. If you are guest‑driven, passionate about the hospitality industry, and eager to contribute to both lodge management and guiding excellence, this role provides the perfect platform for professional growth.
Relief Manager
- Currently in a Relief Manager or Senior Front of House role in a high‑end lodge environment
- Hospitality qualification preferred (International Hotel School advantageous)
- Computer literate: Microsoft Suite, Reservation and Finance systems
- Valid driver’s licence
- Strong leadership, guest relations, and team‑management skills
- Duties include: Front of House, room checks, check‑ins, inductions, administration, hosting, month‑end duties, anchoring lodge operations, reporting to Lodge Manager
Field Guide (Standard but not limited to)
- FGASA Level 3 preferred
- Valid driver’s licence
- Guided drives and walks
- Guest hosting and relations
- Basic vehicle maintenance
- Assisting with lodge operations and maintenance
- Reporting to Lodge Manager
General Requirements
- Not pet friendly
- No children (slightly negotiable)
- Must be guest‑centric, flexible, and team‑oriented
Package
- Relief Manager: R 24 000 per month DOE
- Field Guide: Market related salary DOE
- Live‑in accommodation
- Meals and uniform provided
- Provident and medical aid fund contribution
- 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off cycle
