ROLE OVERVIEW
The apprenticeship will provide a young unemployed person with the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills to develop their competency in Diesel Fitting.
The successful candidate will enter into a fixed-term contract with Sea Harvest for the duration of the training.
The successful candidate will be required to complete:
- Core experiential workshop training and a
- Centre of Specialisation (COS) programme at TVET college
REQUIREMENTS
- Preferably Youth
- Must have passed NTC3 (4 subjects) or NQF Level 4 or matriculated with Maths and Science OR Technical Matric
- Proven/Similar practical training and experience in occupational field will be advantageous
- Participation in psychometric testing is required
- Must successfully pass a medical examination
- Must be willing and able to work shifts and overtime as required
- Must be able to work in confined spaces and at heights above 3 meters
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A technical foundation would be beneficial to the incumbent
