Community & Influencer Manager (Multi-Brand)
The Clean Beauty Company SA
We’re building beauty brands people don’t just buy — they talk about, share, recommend and want to be part of.
We’re a fast-growing beauty group behind multiple Skincare, Hair Care, Body Care and Personal Care brands, with brands already in market across South Africa.
Now we’re looking for someone who can help make those brands impossible to ignore.
We need a Community & Influencer Manager who lives and breathes South African digital culture. Someone who knows who’s rising before everyone else does. Who understands what makes people stop scrolling, what makes a creator genuinely influential, and how you turn customers, creators and followers into a community that actually cares about a brand.
This is not an influencer admin role.
We’re looking for someone who can think strategically, move quickly and execute brilliantly. Someone who can dream up the idea, find the right people, build the campaign, make it happen — and then tell us exactly what worked.
If you’ve helped take brands from “Who are they?” to “I keep seeing them everywhere”, we want to hear from you.
Find the people before everyone else does. Discover, vet and build relationships with South African creators who genuinely fit each brand - not simply whoever has the biggest following.
Make campaigns happen. Own gifting, paid influencer and UGC campaigns from idea and negotiation through to briefing, execution and reporting.
Build our inner circle. Create our affiliate, ambassador and advocacy programs from the ground up, turning real customers and creators into long-term brand advocates.
Be where the conversation is. Own community across comments, DMs and social conversations, turning followers into fans and fans into advocates.
Bring the ideas. We want agency-level thinking in-house. Spot opportunities, pitch concepts, jump on relevant moments and create campaigns people actually want to engage with.
Know what’s happening NOW. Stay obsessively close to South African beauty, social, creator and cultural trends - and know which ones matter for our brands.
Know your numbers. Track sentiment, engagement, creator performance and conversion. We love creativity, but we also want to know what moved the needle.
Show up IRL. Support launches, activations, events and retail moments that bring our communities together offline.
Make global ideas feel local. Adapt campaigns, messaging and content so they feel culturally relevant and native to the South African market.
Move across brands without missing a beat. You’ll work across multiple brands, audiences and launches - often at the same time.
YOU’LL PROBABLY LOVE THIS ROLE IF...
You’re the person sending your friends TikToks saying, “Watch this creator — she’s about to blow up.”
You can spot the difference between a creator with followers and a creator with actual influence.
You understand that community isn’t replying with under every comment.
You have strong opinions about what brands should — and absolutely should not — be doing on social.
You can walk into a meeting with a campaign idea and then roll up your sleeves and make the entire thing happen.
And most importantly, you’ve done this in South Africa.
A proven track record of launching and scaling brands in South Africa, ideally from the ground up.
Strong experience across influencer marketing, community building, UGC, advocacy and affiliate programs.
The ability to be both strategist and doer - you can originate the idea and execute it.
Agency experience is a big plus. You know what it’s like to move fast, juggle multiple brands and make great work happen under pressure.
A genuinely current understanding of South African creators, digital culture, beauty trends and social behaviour.
Confidence working autonomously. You don't need a 12-page brief before making every decision.
Strong commercial instincts. You understand that great community and influencer marketing should ultimately help build the brand and drive growth.
Event and activation experience is a bonus.
Beauty, Personal Care or FMCG experience is a bonus - but how you think, what you’ve built and what you can prove matter more.
SHOW US WHAT YOU’VE DONE
We’re less interested in buzzwords and more interested in receipts.
Tell us about the brand you helped launch.
Show us the campaign that took off.
Tell us what you personally owned.
Show us the creators you discovered, the community you built and the numbers you moved.
We’re looking for real examples, real results and references we can speak to.
THIS IS FOR YOU IF...
You’re ambitious. You’re culturally curious. You move fast.
You care about the tiny details but never lose sight of the bigger brand.
You want ownership rather than waiting for instructions.
And the idea of helping build the next generation of beauty brands in South Africa sounds like exactly the kind of challenge you’ve been waiting for.
Sound like you? We’d love to see what you’ve built.
Real ownership, not a seat waiting for a brief. You'll run community and influencer strategy your way, from day one.
A front-row seat to the retail push. You won't be watching this from the sidelines. You'll be close to the pharmacy, grocery and fashion/lifestyle relationships as they land, and you'll feel it the moment a brand actually shows up on shelf.
A team that backs bold ideas instead of burying them. Bring us something great and we'll back it properly, not water it down through six rounds of sign-off.
The chance to build something from scratch, not manage what's already there. A community, an inner circle, a movement, across multiple brands, that's genuinely yours to point at later and say "I built that."
A workplace that trusts you to think, not just execute. No 12-page brief before every decision, just real trust and real stakes.
Competitive, full-time South African market salary, because we're serious about getting the best person for this, not the cheapest.
Send us your CV, plus:
- The brand you helped launch or scale, and the receipts to back it up
- One campaign or idea you're genuinely proud of, and exactly what you personally owned in it
