Solutions Architect (Senior)- Full Stack, Node.js, Angular

We are seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to join a high-performing global technology environment and contribute to a strategic transformation programme focused on modernising enterprise security and technology architecture.

The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing and delivering secure, scalable and cloud-native solutions across the full technology stack. You will work closely with technical teams, stakeholders and initiative streams to drive architecture and technical decisions from requirements through to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical topics across the full technology lifecycle, from requirements and architecture through implementation, testing and production operations.
• Design and develop scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot and Node.js.
• Design and develop responsive frontend applications using Angular, TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
• Architect and implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs, integrations and API contracts.
• Design and implement microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Develop and maintain scalable database solutions using MongoDB and SQL databases.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Work with containerised applications and cloud-native technologies.
• Deploy and operate solutions within AWS, including services such as Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, API Gateway and IAM.
• Implement secure coding practices and contribute to application security and threat modelling.
• Integrate internal and third-party services with robust error handling, retries and idempotency.
• Implement observability through metrics, logs and traces and contribute to production support and incident response.
• Define API versioning strategies, OpenAPI specifications, GraphQL schemas and contract testing.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to ensure effective and sustainable technical solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and demonstrate strong ownership and leadership across assigned initiatives.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent qualification.
• 6+ years of hands-on full-stack software development experience.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, Angular, TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Proven experience designing and developing RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Strong experience with microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, API Gateway and IAM.
• Experience with MongoDB and relational SQL databases.
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git and automated deployment processes.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/EKS would be advantageous.
• Experience with Terraform/Infrastructure as Code, Kafka/RabbitMQ and Zero Trust security principles would be advantageous.
• Strong solution architecture, systems thinking, problem-solving, communication and technical leadership skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
