Maintenance Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join their a manufacturing facility in Western Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving plant reliability, reducing downtime and ensuring maintenance activities
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the maintenance team and daily maintenance activities
- Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programmes
- Oversee planned, reactive, and breakdown maintenance
- Monitor equipment reliability, downtime, and maintenance KPIs
- Manage maintenance budgets, contractors, service providers, and critical spares
- Root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate planned shutdowns and major maintenance projects
- Support equipment upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and engineering standards
- Develop and mentor maintenance personnel
Minimum Requirements
- Matric
- Millwright/ Electrician/ Fitter Trade Test
- GCC Advantageous
- GMR 2.1 Certificate
- 5 - 7 Years experience as a Maintenance Manager
- Manufacturing environment experience
- Plastic/ packaging industry experience
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance, asset management, and reliability principles
- Experience managing technical teams and external contractors
- Knowledge of CMMS and maintenance management systems
- Excellent leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
