Our client is seeking a Maintenance Manager to manage maintenance and engineering activities in their manufacturing facility in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing maintenance strategy, leading technical teams, and ensuring that production assets operate safely and reliably
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive maintenance strategy aligned with production requirements
- Lead preventative, predictive, and reliability-centred maintenance programmes
- Manage maintenance teams, contractors, and technical resources
- Monitor asset performance, maintenance costs, downtime, and reliability KPIs
- Lead root cause analysis of recurring equipment failures
- Manage maintenance shutdowns, projects, and equipment upgrades
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and engineering standards
- Promote continuous improvement and a proactive maintenance culture
Minimum Requirements
- Matric
- Millwright Trade Test
- Mechanical Engineering National Diploma
- GCC Advantageous
- 3 - 5 Years experience as a Maintenance Manager
- Manufacturing/ maintenance experience essential
- Knowledge of asset reliability, maintenance planning, and CMMS systems
- Leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Communication and stakeholder management skills
