SAS AML DevSecOps Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced SAS AML DevSecOps Engineer to support the automation, deployment, security and operational stability of a SAS Anti-Money Laundering environment. This mid-senior contract opportunity is suited to a professional with strong SAS AML experience who can bridge development and operations within a highly controlled financial-services environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for SAS programs, metadata and AML scenarios across development, UAT and production.
• Automate deployment and release processes using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Provision and configure SAS environments and supporting infrastructure.
• Manage SAS AML deployments across modern architectures, including Docker and Kubernetes where applicable.
• Support SAS Viya environments and associated infrastructure.
• Implement monitoring and alerting using solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana and SAS Environment Manager.
• Monitor SAS job execution, system health and resource utilisation.
• Integrate security scanning and DevSecOps practices into deployment pipelines.
• Manage secure access and RBAC across SAS environments.
• Support compliance with financial data privacy and security requirements.
• Coordinate releases with SAS Developers and Data Scientists.
• Manage code versions and support stable, controlled releases of AML detection models and scenarios.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' proven SAS AML experience.
• Mid-senior level experience in SAS AML DevOps/DevSecOps or a closely related environment.
• Strong understanding of SAS AML environments and deployment processes.
• Hands-on CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes, particularly within SAS Viya environments, would be advantageous.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana or SAS Environment Manager.
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps, security scanning, access control and RBAC.
• Ability to work across development, operations and technical stakeholder groups.
• Candidates must be based in South Africa.
