About the Role

We are seeking a Plumbing Supervisor who will oversee plumbing operations and ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards. The primary focus of this role will be managing teams of plumbers, coordinating installations and repairs, and enhancing operational efficiency within residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate daily plumbing activities, ensuring effective workflow and project completion.

- Lead, mentor, and support a team of plumbers, providing on-the-job training and guidance.

- Review and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to plan plumbing installations and repairs.

- Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and regulations, maintaining all necessary documentation.

- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor safety practices and quality of work performed.

- Manage inventory and order materials necessary for plumbing projects, ensuring timely delivery.

- Liaise with clients, engineers, and contractors to facilitate project discussions and resolve any issues.

- Schedule and oversee maintenance and emergency repair services as required, ensuring swift resolution of plumbing issues.

Requirements

- Proven track record in plumbing installation and repair, with substantial experience in a supervisory role.

- Strong understanding of plumbing codes, regulations, and industry standards.

- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.

- Solid problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills to address plumbing challenges effectively.

- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.

- Valid plumbing trade qualification and a driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

- Trade Test/N6/Diploma

- Experience in managing plumbing projects in both operational and commercial settings.

- Knowledge of health and safety regulations pertaining to the plumbing industry.

- Familiarity with using plumbing management software for scheduling and tracking jobs.
