SENIOR ACCOUNTANT Property Development | Cape Town CBD - Up to R50,000 CTC per month

growing property development and investment group is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its finance team.

This is a permanent, fully on-site position suited to an accountant with strong technical accounting skills, solid property or construction industry experience and in-depth hands-on experience with Sage 300.

• Manage the day-to-day accounting function across multiple entities and projects.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Manage month-end and year-end accounting processes.
• Account for property development, construction and project-related expenditure.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, cash flow and financial controls.
• Manage accounts payable, receivable, VAT and statutory accounting.
• Prepare reconciliations, journals and supporting schedules.
• Manage banking and cash flow requirements.
• Maintain accurate financial records across property and operational activities.
• Utilise and support Sage 300, including system processes, reporting and improvements.
• Work closely with property, development, construction and operational teams.

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 6–8 years' relevant accounting experience.
• Proven experience at Senior Accountant level.
• Strong experience within property development, property investment, construction or a related environment is essential.
• Extensive hands-on Sage 300 experience is essential.
• Strong understanding of South African accounting principles and practices.
• Experience with multiple entities, projects and cost centres advantageous.
• Experience in project accounting and development expenditure highly advantageous.
• Sage 300 implementation, configuration, system builds or customisation experience will be a significant advantage.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict reporting deadlines.

Up to R50,000 CTC per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
