Commercial Underwriting and Claims Assistant

Commercial Underwriting and Claims Consultant with an NQF4 Short Term Insurance certificate and RE5 and minimum 5 years’ experience in the short term insurance industry dealing with both commercial and personal lines claims and underwriting, required for an Insurance Brokage based in Somerset West.

Responsibilities:

• Provide underwriting and claims assistance to Insurance Advisers re Commercial and Personal Lines Insurance
• Support with compliance audits
• Manage client visits with Advisers
• Create and maintain client asset registers
• Quote preparations
• Quote summaries
• Processing of quotes
• Update renewal lists
• Retrieve and obtain all relevant supporting documents
• Insurer queries
• Facilitate insurer surveys
• Confirmation of cover
• Cancellations
• Unpaid premiums
• Claims processing
• Claims administration

Minimum requirements:

• Matric essential
• NQF4 or NQF 5 Short Term Insurance certificate essential
• RE5 essential
• Minimum 5 years’ commercial and personal lines underwriting and claims experience required
