GENERAL MANAGER – LUXURY HOSPITALITY

We’re looking for an exceptional hospitality leader who combines strong commercial and operational ability with a genuine passion for people.

This is a senior leadership role for a warm, compassionate and highly personable General Manager who understands that luxury service is about more than standards — it’s about creating an environment where guests feel genuinely valued, respected and cared for.

What We’re Looking For

  • SA citizen – essential
  • Tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management
  • Strong hospitality background with significant Food & Beverage experience
  • Proven senior management / General Management experience
  • Exceptional guest relations and service delivery skills
  • Warm, approachable, compassionate and emotionally intelligent
  • Strong leadership, communication and people-development abilities
  • Sound commercial and financial acumen, including budgeting and cost control
  • Excellent operational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of F&B, housekeeping and hospitality operations
  • Experience managing HODs and multidisciplinary teams
  • Sound understanding of health & safety, hygiene, security and legislative compliance
  • Strong computer literacy and reporting skills
  • Experience with sales, revenue generation and occupancy targets
  • Ability to build positive relationships with guests, families, staff and key stakeholders

The role will encompass

  • Overall leadership and management of the operation
  • Driving exceptional guest experiences and consistently high service standards
  • Overseeing F&B, housekeeping and other operational departments
  • Managing budgets, revenue, costs, productivity and operational controls
  • Driving occupancy, sales and commercial performance
  • Leading, mentoring and developing HODs and wider teams
  • Building a positive, high-performance culture and developing future talent
  • Managing guest and family relationships with professionalism, empathy and discretion
  • Ensuring excellent standards across facilities, maintenance, security, hygiene and safety
  • Monitoring compliance, policies and operational procedures
  • Overseeing wellness, care and resident-focused services
  • Preparing management reports and monitoring overall performance
  • Supporting new developments, operational set-up, recruitment, suppliers and opening processes where required
