The role
We are looking for ideally a well-travelled candidate and who has some knowledge of the sporting world. You will have an excellent eye for detail and be financially astute. You will be a good writer of itineraries and schedules. Excellent time keeping and organisation are absolutely key for this role. A good knowledge of geography and experience in travel would also be helpful.
The role will involve supporting the Sales Managers with constructing life changing tours and packages for our customers, many of which we have been working with for over 50 years!
This is an exciting opportunity for a Sales Coordinator covering maternity leave from 5 October 2026 - 14 May 2027.
What you’ll be doing
- Creating and writing sales proposals and exciting tour itineraries via our web-based platform.
- Gathering costs from our online booking system “Travelink” to finalise tour packages for the sales team.
- Acting as a link between the sales and operations team to ensure all sports tour proposals are accurate and workable, logistically and financially.
- Designing fascinating PowerPoint Presentations for parents and staff.
- Researching and prospecting potential new touring destinations for a range of sports.
- Researching potential new clients and leads for the sales team and booking meetings.
What we are looking for
- Organisational Mastery: You possess exceptional organisational skills, with a sharp eye for detail and a strong acumen for numbers.
- Administrative Expertise: Your administration skills are top-notch, coupled with a confident and proactive manner.
- Geographical and Sports Insight: Good knowledge of geography and the sporting world is key, as it helps in understanding our clients' needs and interests.
- Tech Proficiency: You’re adept with technology, especially MS Office, and can quickly adapt to new software systems.
- Communication Skills: Articulate and clear in communication, you excel in expressing ideas and fostering understanding within a team.
- Home Office Readiness: With a space ready for flexi-working, you're equipped to maintain productivity and balance.
- Team Collaboration: Your ability to work collaboratively ensures that our team operates like a well-oiled machine.
- Possible Operational Assistance: You may be required to assist the operational team on the ground in South Africa during peak season. This could include airport meet & greets, fixture attendance, accompanying groups at hotel check-in etc.
Desirable Qualities
- Industry Experience: Prior experience in the travel industry or with sports tours is highly advantageous, providing a foundation to understand and expand our product offerings.
- Travelink Know-How: While not mandatory, knowledge of Travelink or similar reservation systems would be beneficial.
- Globetrotter Experience: Personal travel experience, especially to destinations we offer, adds depth to the creation and selling of our tours.
- Educational Background: A degree related to sports, travel, or events management can be a valuable asset in understanding the educational aspects of our travel experiences.
- Collaboration Tools Familiarity: Experience with digital collaboration tools such as MS Teams, MS Planner, and Todo is a plus, as it enhances team coordination and project management.
