Splash Café House Attendants (x2)

The Splash Café House Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, and operational readiness of the café and guest seating areas. Through excellent housekeeping, replenishment, and support services, the role contributes to a welcoming environment and an exceptional guest experience.

Key Accountabilities

  • Café dining areas, service stations, and guest facilities maintained in a clean, safe, and presentable condition at all times.
  • Tables, chairs, counters, and equipment cleaned, sanitised, and arranged according to operational standards.
  • Café opening, closing, and cleaning duties completed within scheduled timelines.
  • Back-of-house areas, storerooms, and service stations kept clean, tidy, and well-organised.
  • Guest requests and operational support tasks attended to promptly and professionally.
  • Supplies, condiments, napkins, and other guest amenities replenished as required.
  • Effective communication and coordination maintained with café supervisors, baristas, kitchen staff, and team members to support smooth daily operations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in a hospitality, food service, housekeeping, or customer service environment preferred.
  • Basic understanding of hygiene, food safety, and cleaning standards.
  • Ability to perform physical duties, including standing for extended periods, lifting, carrying, and moving equipment or supplies.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays, and peak trading periods.
  • Satisfactory criminal record, subject to assessment of the nature, severity, relevance, and recency of any offence.

  • Applies safe work practices and correct manual handling techniques when moving equipment, furniture, and supplies.
  • Ensures guest areas are well-presented and ready for service at all times.

  • Works closely with café staff and supervisors to ensure seamless daily operations.
  • Responds promptly to guest requests and changing operational requirements.
