Senior Data Engineer

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a forward-thinking technology environment where modern data engineering and emerging AI capabilities intersect. This remote opportunity is ideal for a data professional who can build robust data solutions while contributing to the development and exploration of AI-driven applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data engineering solutions.
• Build and optimise data pipelines and data processing workflows.
• Work with modern cloud data platforms, including Snowflake and/or Microsoft Fabric.
• Develop reliable data solutions using Python.
• Contribute to the development and integration of AI-driven data solutions.
• Work with stakeholders and technical teams to translate data requirements into practical solutions.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, security and performance.
• Troubleshoot and continuously improve existing data processes and platforms.
• Stay up to date with emerging data engineering and AI technologies.

Requirements

• 5–10 years' experience in data engineering or a closely related role.
• Strong Python development skills.
• Practical experience with Snowflake and/or Microsoft Fabric.
• Demonstrated interest in building AI solutions and applying AI within data environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work independently within a remote environment.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
