Job Purpose
The Operations & Supply Chain Intern will gain practical experience in supporting the day-to-day operations of a contact-centre environment. The role will provide exposure to operational planning, resource management, reporting, process improvement and supply chain activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day operational and administrative activities.
- Support the Operations team with reporting, data capturing and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist with monitoring operational performance, productivity and service-level requirements.
- Support workforce and resource planning activities.
- Assist with tracking operational equipment, stock and other resources.
- Assist with supplier and service-provider administration.
- Support the team with procurement and supply-related activities.
- Assist with identifying operational inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and maintain reports, spreadsheets and documentation.
- Assist with ensuring operational processes and procedures are followed.
- Work collaboratively with Operations, Finance, IT, Facilities, HR and other departments.
- Perform general administrative duties as required by the Operations and Supply Chain team.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Business Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Commerce or a related field.
- A relevant postgraduate qualification will be advantageous.
- South African citizen.
- National Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
- A clear criminal record.
- A clear ITC record.
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 35.
- Must not be currently employed or participating in another internship or learnership programme.
