Senior Pastor
Southpoint Church SA
Southpoint Church (SPC) is a vibrant, growing Christ-centred church community in Cape Town, with a simple mission: to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ . We are an independent church, affiliated to the Irresistible Church Network (ICN), deeply rooted in the Word of God, passionate about people and committed to being relevant, life-giving and engaged with the community around us. We believe church is more than a Sunday gathering; it is a family where people are known, cared for, discipled and equipped to live out their faith.
At SouthPoint, we often speak about being “somebody’s somebody”, where Life Change is tangible, It captures our heart for belonging, that you “come as you are”. People should be known, valued and never feel alone. We believe that as we grow in our relationship with Jesus, we grow together as His people: caring for and serving one another and becoming more like Christ.
We are committed to an Acts 2 culture of leadership and multiplication, raising leaders, empowering teams, extending the Kingdom beyond our own congregation. We carry a heart for reaching the one, generosity and strengthening God’s people. There is a rich history here, a growing community, and significant potential for Kingdom impact. And there is so much more ahead.
This is the journey we are inviting our next Senior Pastor to step into.
Who We Are Looking For
Southpoint Church is not simply looking for a capable minister. We are seeking an Acts 2 leader — someone whose life and ministry embody the leadership culture described in Section 2 of this Portfolio. Specifically, we are looking for someone who:

Has been shaped by seasons of challenge, trial, failure, and opposition — a leader whose humility and endurance have been forged through the realties of following Jesus and leading people in a sacrifical way, not simply just through formal training.
- Steps forward with Spirit-filled initiative and leads God’s people forward with boldness,
- Leads in genuine team — balancing point-leader courage with collaborative
