Senior Mine Project Engineer [shaft/decline/hoisting/backfill/ Primavera P6 - Botswana)

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Mine Project Engineer to manage and deliver key underground mining projects at a Botswana mine site, Botswana

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering.
• 5-10 years' experience in mining project management.
• Proven experience in underground mining projects, including shaft sinking, declines, hoisting systems, and backfill operations.
• Strong knowledge of project scheduling, cost control, quality management, and risk mitigation.
• Proficient in MS Project and Primavera P6.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and monitor underground mining projects from inception to completion.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and contractor performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Coordinate with operations, engineering, and technical teams to achieve project objectives.
• Prepare and present project reports to management.
