LOCATION: Client based in Kempton Park.

Areas to service in the role: Field-based role covering Pretoria / Soshanguve / Mabopane / Mamelodi / Brits / Hartebeespoort / Garankuwa, reporting to an office based between Kempton Park and Bapsfontein

SALARY: R25 000 - R30 000 per month CTC (depending on experience), plus company car, cell phone and laptop

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Our client is a well-established group of companies operating in the commercial egg industry. They are looking for a skilled Area Sales Manager to join their team on a permanent basis, responsible for driving sales and managing customer relationships across the Pretoria, Soshanguve, Mabopane, Mamelodi, Brits, Hartebeespoort and Garankuwa areas.

JOB PURPOSE

This position is responsible for growing new business, managing key customer relationships and supporting product performance in-store across the designated area. The role reports directly to the Sales and Marketing Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Find sales leads and increase new business.
• Gather market information regarding pricing and trends in the market.
• Attend to customer queries and complaints.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers.
• Product care on shelf stock rotation, forward share, expiry date, storage conditions, etc.
• Manage customer credits and returns, and drive strategy to reduce credits.
• Assist telesales in getting customer orders in on time.
• Manage merchandisers at store level.
• Build relationships that increase turnaround time for product delivery to customers.
• Provide constant reportback through formal and informal reports.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Matric.
• Fluent in English and local South African languages.
• Valid driver's licence.
• 3-5 years' experience in general sales functions within the FMCG perishable foods sector.
• Ability to work independently.
• Willing to work weekends and public holidays.
• Willingness to learn, drive processes and improve efficiencies.
• Good human relations and excellent communication skills.
• Computer literate.
• Very neat and tidy work ethic.
• Proactive with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• A company car, cell phone and laptop will be provided for business use.
