Role Summary

There is an exciting opportunity for a Design Office Manager at our Centurion branch.

  • Provide most technically effective solution for client and most effective for PERI on standard and complex applications .
  • Provide most technically effective solution for client and most cost effective for PERI on special applications under supervision .
  • Interaction with the client through face-to-face meetings, email, phone, or MS Teams.
  • Provide technical consultation to Sales Department and Clients, during meetings or technical site service for standard to complex applications .
  • Attend weekly resource planning meetings and advise on project progress.
  • Oversee quality and technical accuracy of all work produced in design team.
  • Communicate the PERI technical Strategies to the technical team.
  • Prepare and monitor training for the Design Team members.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Understand and implement all PERI Engineering relevant directives to all employees reporting to this position.
  • Overseeing and organizing complete formwork/scaffolding design process of the team (correct, accurate and on time).
  • Check and approve all designs for relevant design office.
  • PR signoff on projects when required.
  • Assess, train, and develop skill level of design team members.
  • Apply In-depht knowledge of PERI design processes and products.
  • Communicate relevant information with other departments.
  • Active participation in technical negotiations and meetings with clients.
  • To have a proactive responsibility and awareness for OHSA procedures related to the area of responsibility.
  • Assist in the guidance and mentoring of Engineering Designers, Design Draughtsman & Snr Design Draughtsman.

Experience/ Qualifications & Skills/Attributes

  • Minimum 5 years of formwork/scaffolding experience

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Draughting or construction experience
  • Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering

  • Experience in leading people
  • Entrepreneurial thinking
  • IT proficient (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • High knowledge of PERICAD / CAD
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing)
  • Strong work ethic, open and reliable
  • Trustworthy and honest
  • Driving License
  • Registered Professional or demonstrable progress towards professional registration. (PrEng/PrTEch/PrTechni)
