Hotel Receptionist - Tzaneen Limpopo

We are seeking a Hotel Receptionist to join our team at our beautiful Coach House Hotel, just outside Tzaneen in Limpopo. In this customer-facing role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and providing top-notch service throughout their stay. This position emphasizes excellent communication and organizational skills in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

Greeting guests upon arrival and provide a warm welcome to ensure a positive first impression.
Manage check-in and check-out procedures efficiently while processing reservations and confirming guest details.
Handling guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and courteously.
Maintaining accurate guest records and manage billing and payment procedures as per hotel policy.
Coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are ready for incoming guests.
Informing guests about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions to enhance their experience.
Processing phone and email reservations while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Upholding hotel policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security.

Requirements

Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
Certificate or diploma in hospitality management or a related field will be advantegous.
Proven experience in a front desk or customer service role within the hospitality sector.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
Demonstrable ability to handle payment processing and billing accurately.
Familiarity with hotel management software (PMS) system and reservation systems is preferred (Protel, Opera or similar software system).
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
Experience with handling guest complaints and providing service recovery
Knowledge of the local area, including attractions and dining options, to assist guests effectively.
