Fuel Management Field Technician

A Fuel Management Field Technician for installation, maintenance, and repairs of automated fuel dispensing systems, hardware, and fleet telematics.

Placement Location

Mokopane, located in the Limpopo Province of South Africa

Core Responsibilities

· Installation & Setup: Install automated fuel management systems, tank monitors, fuel pumps, and hardware on-site at client facilities, depots, or commercial fleets.

· Maintenance & Repair: Conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshoot technical faults, software errors, or mechanical issues with fuel dispensers and monitoring devices

· Calibration & Testing: Perform diagnostic checks, calibration, and loop testing on fuel meters, level instruments, and field devices.

· Client Support & Reporting: Provide on-site customer support, complete digital job cards, and submit detailed service reports in a timely manner

· Compliance: Follow strict health, safety, and environmental (SHEQ) standards, especially when working in hazardous environments like fuel depots or tank farms. [1]

  • Education: Matric (Grade 12) certificate; technical certificates or a recognized qualification in instrumentation, auto-electrical work, or mechanical fitting. [
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on field experience working with fuel systems, fleet management tech, or industrial instrumentation.
  • Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities, basic IT/networking knowledge (Windows, SQL, A+, N+), and familiarity with petroleum or agricultural monitoring equipment.
  • Driver’s License: Valid South African Code 8 / Code B driver’s license.
  • Average Salary Range: R15,000 to R25,000+ per month, depending on certifications and industry experience.Cost to company
