Our client, a well-established technology solutions provider based in Randburg, is looking for a skilled Developer – Mobile Systems to join their team. This is a full-stack role at heart, with mobile development as the clear lead skill — you will be building, testing and deploying mobile functionality into an existing production Android application, while also contributing across the broader backend stack.

The ideal candidate combines strong, hands-on Ionic mobile development experience with genuine PHP and Laravel backend skills, and is equally comfortable working with legacy C# and SQL Server systems as the team's stack evolves. This is a great opportunity for a well-rounded full-stack developer who wants to take ownership of mobile delivery from build through to release.

Required Experience

● 4 - 6 years' strong, hands-on Ionic mobile development experience

● 4 - 6 years' PHP and Laravel development experience

● 2 - 3 years' C# development experience

● 3 years' SQL Server database experience

● Proven full-stack development background — this is not a mobile-only role

● Demonstrated APK building and deploying experience - building, signing and deploying mobile applications/modules into an existing production app

● Proficiency in Angular.

Core Responsibilities

● Develop, test and deploy mobile application functionality using Ionic, integrated into an existing production Android application

● Design, develop and maintain RESTful APIs to support mobile and web application functionality

● Work across the full stack, including PHP/Laravel backend development and legacy C#/SQL Server systems

● Manage the deployment and updating of mobile app functionality, including preparing release notes, signing builds, and managing certificates or keys

● Conduct unit, integration and user acceptance testing (UAT) for mobile applications

● Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by QA teams or end users

● Monitor and maintain mobile applications post-deployment, applying updates and fixes as needed

● Collaborate with the team on architecture, code reviews, and deployment, making use of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure where applicable.

● Participate in a standby/on-call roster and be available for overtime as project deadlines and operational needs require.

● Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, backend developers and QA to ensure cohesive, aligned delivery

● Document and demonstrate solutions through functional and technical documentation, and write clean, well-commented code

● Ionic Framework (essential)

● Android Studio, Google Play Console / app store deployment processes

● Git and standard version control workflows

● Comfortable working in an Agile, sprint-based delivery environment
