Risk Manager

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Risk Manager to identify, assess, and mitigate risks that may impact the organisation’s operations, assets, and overall business objectives. The successful candidate will develop and implement effective risk management strategies, ensure regulatory compliance, and work collaboratively with various departments to monitor and manage emerging risks. The role will also provide valuable insights and recommendations to senior management to support informed decision-making and strategic planning.

• Identify, assess, and prioritize potential risks to the organization.
• Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.
• Monitor and report on the status of risk management initiatives.
• Perform risk assessments and scenario analysis to forecast the potential impact of identified risks.
• Communicate risk management strategies to stakeholders, including senior management and the board of directors.
• Conduct regular reviews and updates of the organization's risk registers.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure risk management practices are integrated into overall business processes.
• Analyze and interpret data related to risk assessments and prepare detailed reports.
• Design and conduct risk management training for employees and stakeholders.
• Maintain awareness of emerging risks and industry trends through ongoing research and networking.
• Coordinate with internal audit and compliance teams to ensure aligned risk management practices.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of existing risk management controls and recommend improvements.
• Manage and maintain relationships with external risk management consultants or third-party vendors.
• Support incident response and crisis management planning.
• Facilitate risk management meetings, workshops, and discussions.
• Oversee the implementation and testing of risk mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines related to risk management.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the risk management team.
• Utilize risk management software tools to track and analyze risks.
• Participate in the development and execution of business continuity and disaster recovery plans.

• Certification in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or related field-
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in risk management or related field
• Professional certification such as CRM (Certified Risk Manager), PRM (Professional Risk Manager), or FRM (Financial Risk Manager) preferred
• Extensive knowledge of risk management principles, methodologies, and frameworks
• Proficiency in risk assessment and scenario analysis techniques
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proven ability to interact effectively with senior management and board members
• Experience with risk management software and tools
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Deep understanding of regulatory requirements related to risk management
• Proven ability to develop and implement risk management policies and procedures
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior team members
• Knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery planning
• Ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging risks

• Availability for occasional travel for conferences, meetings, or training sessions
