About the Role

Our client is looking for a hands-on Hybrid Mobile Developer with a strong combination of mobile, web and backend development experience.

This is not a conventional web-only Full Stack Developer position.

The ideal candidate will have genuine practical experience developing hybrid mobile applications using Ionic and Angular, including building and packaging Android APKs for deployment to devices, together with solid backend and database experience.

You will work across mobile applications, web applications and backend systems in a fast-paced environment where ownership, adaptability, problem-solving and clear communication are important.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain mobile applications using Ionic, including packaging and building APKs for deployment to Android devices.

• Develop and maintain web applications using Angular on the front end, and PHP/Laravel and C# on the back end.

• Design, query, and optimise relational databases in Microsoft SQL Server.

• Work with SDKs and native device features to support mobile builds and deployments.

• Collaborate with the team on architecture, code reviews, and deployment, making use of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure where applicable.

• Participate in a standby/on-call roster and be available for overtime as project deadlines and operational needs require.

• Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and stakeholders in English, on progress, blockers, and technical decisions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 – 6 years of relevant software development experience.

• Strong working knowledge of Ionic for hybrid mobile app development.

• Practical experience with SDKs and building/deploying APKs for device deployment.

• Proficiency in Angular.

• Proficiency in PHP and the Laravel framework.

• Experience with C#.

• Solid experience with Microsoft SQL Server (database design, queries, and performance optimisation).

• Cloud experience — particularly Microsoft Azure — is advantageous.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Proven ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong team player with a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset.

Work Requirements

• Overtime may be required based on project deadlines and operational needs.

• Candidates must be willing and able to participate in a standby/on-call roster.
