An established, award-winning architectural practice in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Candidate Architectural Technologist to join its creative and technically accomplished team.
The successful candidate will have strong Revit proficiency, practical site experience and exposure to all six architectural work stages. This opportunity is ideal for someone who can combine creative design ability with strong technical documentation and project-delivery skills.
- Assist with projects across all six architectural work stages, from inception and concept design through to construction and close-out.
- Develop creative architectural concepts and translate them into practical, buildable solutions.
- Prepare detailed Revit models, technical drawings, schedules and construction documentation.
- Produce council-submission and tender documentation.
- Coordinate architectural information with engineers, consultants, contractors and suppliers
- Attend client, consultant and site meetings.
- Conduct site inspections and assist with construction monitoring and contract administration.
- Respond to site queries and resolve technical or detailing challenges.
- Ensure drawings and documentation comply with building regulations, project requirements and internal quality standards.
- Assist with material selection, specifications, detailing and design presentations.
- Manage assigned deadlines and deliverables across multiple projects.
- Relevant qualification in Architectural Technology.
- Registered with SACAP as a Candidate Architectural Technologist.
- Proven professional experience within an architectural practice.
- Strong proficiency in Revit.
- Experience across all six architectural work stages.
- Practical construction-site and contract-administration experience.
- Ability to produce both aesthetically considered designs and technically accurate documentation.
- Experience working on contemporary residential, commercial or mixed-use projects would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, detailing, materials and building regulations.
- Excellent communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- A professional architectural portfolio demonstrating both design and technical capabilities.
