Mechanical Revit Draughtsperson - Building Services - Pretoria

Our client, an established multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Revit Draughtsperson to join their team in Pretoria.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment delivering high-quality building services design documentation across various sectors.

• Lead the 3D modelling and detailed draughting for mechanical building services projects.

• Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, BIM managers, and other discipline draughtspersons to resolve design spatial conflicts.

• Ensure all drawings adhere to company quality standards, project specifications, and standard industry codes.

• Maintain model integrity, family creation, and drawing sheet setups within Revit.

• Update drawings and models based on site variations, design revisions, and engineering markups.

• Manage revision control and file distribution for design deliverables.

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Draughting, CAD, or Mechanical Engineering.

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant draughting experience in multi-disciplinary building services.

• Proven expertise in HVAC, Wet Services, and Fire Protection systems.

• Solid, hands-on experience using Revit Mechanical and AutoCAD.

• Strong understanding of South African building regulations, codes, and standard draughting practices.

Technical Experience

• Production of detailed 3D Revit models and 2D AutoCAD drawings for HVAC, Wet Services, and Fire Protection systems.

• Coordination and clash detection of mechanical services within multi-disciplinary building models (Architectural, Structural, Electrical).

• Development of layout drawings, schematics, plant room details, and section views.

• Extraction of schedules, material quantities, and component specifications directly from BIM models.

• Alignment of BIM/CAD models with project standards and BIM Execution Plans (BEP).

Software

• Autodesk Revit (Mechanical / MEP).

• Autodesk AutoCAD.

• Navisworks (Advantageous).
