Field Account Manager

Pure Retail is one of South Africa’s leading merchandising and retail services providers. We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven individual to join our team in a sales-focused role in Pretoria. The position involves identifying and developing new business opportunities within the retail sector at store level.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
• Achieve and exceed sales targets
• Recruit and manage promotional staff
• Plan and execute field marketing campaigns
• Develop comprehensive product and service knowledge
• Negotiate with retailers and third-party partners on promotional displays and merchandise placement
• Promote business expansion opportunities through successful field marketing programmes
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activities
• Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports on field marketing activities
• Document and share lead and customer intelligence with the field team

Requirements

• Matric or equivalent qualification
• Valid South African driver’s licence (essential – no exceptions)
• Own reliable transportation (essential – no exceptions)
• Exceptional computer literacy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong presentation skills, with the ability to pitch confidently at multiple levels
• Excellent time management, organisational, and planning abilities
• Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
• Team-oriented approach
• Confident negotiator and salesperson
• Dedicated, decisive, and results-driven mindset

Advantageous

• Proven track record of achieving sales targets
• Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Entrepreneurship, or a related field
• Understanding of the retail industry
• Strong desire to develop new business and build lasting relationships
• Strong understanding of key merchandising and promotional principles
