Senior Professional Accountant - Financial Statement Preparation Division

We are currently seeking a Senior Professional Accountant for our Financial Statement Preparation Division to join our reputable client’s team.

Requirements

• Relevant Tertiary qualification (BCom Accounting / BAcc or equivalent) with professional registration (SAIPA / SAICA / ACCA).

• Minimum 3 years post-article experience in financial statement compilation and review.

• Strong technical proficiency in compilation and independent review engagements across small to medium-sized entities, trusts, and individuals.

• Proven experience reviewing working papers, supervising and coaching junior clerks, and managing daily practice workflow.

• Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, auditors, and partners.

• Ability to meet monthly billing targets, maintain daily timesheets, and handle client queries promptly under pressure.

Experience with

• Compilation and independent review engagements of annual financial statements in terms of IFRS / IFRS for SMEs

• Reviewing financial statements and detailed audit/review working papers prepared by junior staff Supervising, mentoring, and providing on-the-job coaching and feedback to junior clerks

• Preparing income tax computations, tax returns, and tax planning for corporate entities, groups, trusts, and individuals

• Managing client queries, operational workflows, monthly billing targets, and daily timesheet tracking

• Liaising professionally with clients, external auditors, SARS, and firm partners
