Graphic Designer - Durban

Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity available for a Graphic Designer to join the Di Media team in Durban. The main purpose of this role will be to deliver creative designs of all elements required by clients.
Minimum Requirements
Essential:
- Matric or equivalent Senior Certificate
- Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design
- Minimum years’ experience in Graphic Design in retail store media touchpoints
Advantageous:
- 2 - 5 experience in designing retail store within Retail industry or Point of Sale store
Roles & Responsibilities
POS Graphic Design:
- Creative design and delivery of new ideas, concepts and developing Media touchpoints.
- Redefine a design brief within the constraints of costs and timeframe.
- Utilise industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project inception and completion phases.
- Deliver print-ready design files for the production team where necessary.
- Translate client briefs into polished design concepts and mock-ups based on client’s needs and requirements.
- Ensure delivery of designs aligns to budget, store limitations, production timelines, and constraints
- Ensure artwork is accurate and supplied in the correct format/sizes/colour codes before being sent to production facilities.
- Adapt and roll out concepts to various approved in-store media.
- Ensure that all design work enhances the clients brand identity and follows the brand guidelines. Manage and ensure a detailed project schedule and work plan is prepared and adhered to per project.
- To ensure all text and illustrations are put together and well-designed, laid out and presented to make them attractive and easy to read, in a form suitable for printing and publishing.
Stakeholder Liaison:
- Present finalised ideas and concepts to the Key Accounts Manager.
- Engage with various parties to ensure alignment with client requirements and brief.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and other designers.
- Consider recommendations of team member`s suggestions, on improving design dilemmas.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders about the progress of projects and any issues that may arise.
Administration:
- Maintain accurate records of the progress of all jobs.
- Ensure effective update on job statuses daily
- Work in a logical order to give relevant and accurate feedback to team members and management regarding projects.
