Professional Civil Engineer/ Technologist

Our client is a leading engineering consultancy looking for an experienced and technically strong Senior Civil Engineer/ Technologist to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professionally registered engineer or technologist with extensive municipal infrastructure design experience to take ownership of projects from concept through to completion, while providing technical guidance to junior staff and delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum 7–10 years’ post-graduation design experience within municipal infrastructure projects
• Education : BEng/ BSc / BTech in Civil Engineering
• Professionally registered as a Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng with ECSA
• Proven experience in the design of water networks, sewer networks, stormwater networks, stormwater management plans, roads and parking areas
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Comprehensive knowledge of 3D surfaces, volume calculations, corridors, feature lines and grading

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver municipal infrastructure projects from concept and feasibility through to detailed design, tender and construction.
• Design water, sewer and stormwater networks, roads, parking areas and associated municipal infrastructure.
• Develop detailed Civil 3D models and drawings, including 3D surfaces, corridors, feature lines, grading and volume calculations.
• Prepare engineering specifications, technical reports, design documentation, quantities and cost estimates for tender and construction projects.
