Our client is looking for an Ionic Mobile Application Developer with strong, proven mobile application experience and a solid full-stack foundation. This is a hands-on role for a developer who is comfortable moving across mobile, web, and backend development.

Mobile is the heart of the role. You will build Ionic applications and package them as APKs for deployment to Android devices, working with SDKs and native device features to support mobile builds and deployments. Alongside this, you will develop web and backend functionality in a fast-paced environment that values ownership, adaptability, and clear communication.

RequiredExperience

• 4-6 years' relevant software development experience

• 4-6 years' STRONG hands-on Ionic experience for hybrid mobile app development

• Practical experience with SDKs and building, signing, and deploying APKs for Android device deployment

• 5 years' Angular experience

• highly proficient in PHP and Laravel - 4-6 years' experience is required

• 2-3 years' C# experience

• 3 years' Microsoft SQL Server experience (database design, queries, and performance optimisation)

• Proven full-stack background

•Cloud experience, particularly Microsoft Azure, is advantageous

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Proven ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Strong team player with a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset

Core Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain mobile applications using Ionic, including packaging and building APKs for deployment to Android devices

• Develop and maintain web applications using Angular on the front end, and PHP/Laravel and C# on the back end

• Design, query, and optimise relational databases in Microsoft SQL Server

• Work with SDKs and standard device features to support mobile builds and deployments

• Collaborate with the team on architecture, code reviews, and deployment, using cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure where applicable

• Participate in a standby/on-call roster and be available for overtime as project deadlines and operational needs require

• Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and stakeholders on progress, blockers, and technical decisions

Work Requirements

• On-site position based in Johannesburg / Randburg

• Overtime may be required based on project deadlines and operational needs

• Willingness and ability to participate in a standby/on-call roster

Remuneration

R35,000 – R40,000 per month
