Klipboard is a global, growing business that embraces AI and emerging technologies to enhance customer outcomes, collaboration, and continuous improvement. We’re looking for people who are curious about or fluid with AI, open to change, and excited to learn how technology can improve the way we work and help our customers which is always supported by strong human insight and communication.

Partner with business leaders and subject matter experts to diagnose performance and capability needs, then design, develop, facilitate, and continuously improve high-quality learning solutions. The role combines technical instructional design with engaging virtual and in-person facilitation, creating scalable learning journeys, digital learning, facilitator materials, job aids, and performance support that improve onboarding, role proficiency, leadership effectiveness, technology adoption, and change readiness. Success is measured through learner outcomes, workplace application, and business impact—not course completion alone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose learning and performance needs. Consult with leaders, managers, learners, and subject matter experts to identify business outcomes, audience needs, role tasks, capability gaps, root causes, and the most appropriate learning or performance-support response.
  • Design technically sound learning solutions. Apply ADDIE, agile or iterative design methods, adult learning principles, Bloom’s taxonomy, rapid learning design, and evidence-based practice to create measurable objectives, learning architecture, storyboards, curricula, assessments, and reinforcement plans, alternative learning plans such as social learning and job shadowing.
  • Develop blended and digital learning. Produce engaging instructor-led, virtual, self-paced, and blended experiences, including e-learning, simulations, videos, facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, toolkits, and workflow-based performance support.
  • Facilitate high-impact learning and train-the-trainer programmes. Personally deliver inclusive and engaging virtual and in-person sessions and, where scale is required, train and enable internal facilitators, managers, and subject matter experts to deliver learning confidently and consistently. Adapt delivery to audience knowledge, role context, accessibility needs, and group dynamics while maintaining learning standards.
  • Build and assure facilitator capability. Design and run train-the-trainer sessions, facilitator accreditation or readiness checks, practice and feedback activities, facilitator guides, manager toolkits, observation, and coaching to support consistent, high-quality delivery and application in the flow of work.
  • Translate complex and technical content. Partner with subject matter experts to convert product, process, systems, policy, and business knowledge into clear, practical, role-based learning without compromising accuracy.
  • Own and scale role-based onboarding. Design consistent, modular onboarding pathways and manager-led practices that support acquired businesses, improve new-hire experience, and shorten time to proficiency.
  • Evaluate learning impact using Kirkpatrick Levels 1–4. Define evaluation during design and measure learner reaction and relevance (Level 1), knowledge and skill acquisition (Level 2), workplace application and behaviour change (Level 3), and agreed business or performance results (Level 4).
  • Use qualitative and quantitative data—including assessments, learner feedback, observation, manager input, adoption measures, performance indicators, time to proficiency, retention, and operational KPIs—to evidence impact and identify improvements.
  • Establish baselines, success measures, data-collection methods, and reporting plans with stakeholders before launch; provide clear insight on effectiveness, application, and business value.
  • Use AI, authoring platforms, learning technology, and improved production processes responsibly to increase quality, accessibility, speed, personalisation, and scalability.
  • Maintain design standards, templates, quality assurance, version control, accessibility, and content governance across the learning portfolio.
  • Manage learning projects from discovery through launch and evaluation, balancing stakeholder expectations, quality, pace, risk, and competing priorities in a global environment.
  • Complete special projects as required.

Skills, Knowledge And Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in instructional design and facilitation within a corporate, technology, professional services, or similarly complex environment.
  • Strong command of instructional design methodologies and learning science, including ADDIE or agile design, adult learning principles, Bloom’s taxonomy, assessment design, practice, feedback, reinforcement, and transfer of learning.
  • Practical experience designing evaluation strategies using Kirkpatrick Levels 1–4 and connecting learning measures to behaviour, performance, adoption, and business outcomes.
  • Ability to write measurable learning objectives and align content, learning activities, practice, assessments, and evaluation evidence to those objectives.
  • Proven capability creating instructor-led, virtual, self-paced, and blended learning, including facilitator guides, participant resources, storyboards, scenarios, simulations, assessments, job aids, and performance-support tools.
  • Confident and comfortable facilitating practical learning and train-the-trainer sessions for varied audiences.
  • Strong learning needs assessment skills, with the ability to challenge requests constructively, identify root causes, and agree proportionate solutions with stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate complex and business information into accurate, accessible, learner-centred experiences and practical workflow support.
  • Experience with an LMS and standards such as SCORM or xAPI is desirable.
  • Awareness of accessibility and inclusive design requirements and the ability to apply them to digital, virtual, and classroom learning.
  • Analytical capability, including interpretation of learner, assessment, adoption, and business-performance data and presentation of concise, actionable insight.
  • Strong project-management, quality-assurance, and content-governance skills.
  • A relevant qualification or professional certification in instructional design, learning and development, education, or facilitation is desirable; equivalent applied experience will be considered.
  • Collaborative, curious, commercially aware, and accountable for measurable learning and performance outcomes.
