SECTION MANAGER - MAINTENANCE - KZN - Salary: R850,000 - R1.2 million per annum

Our client, a well-established automotive component manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Section Manager – Maintenance to lead maintenance operations, drive equipment reliability and ensure a safe, efficient and high-performing manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will provide strong technical and people leadership across maintenance, engineering and continuous improvement activities.

• Lead and manage maintenance operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Drive preventative and planned maintenance to maximise equipment availability and reliability.
• Analyse maintenance data, identify trends and implement corrective actions.
• Lead maintenance planning, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical support relating to PLC and drive programming.
• Ensure compliance with relevant quality, environmental and occupational health and safety standards.
• Lead, develop and manage maintenance teams and ensure performance against agreed KPIs.
• Support continuous improvement, problem-solving and manufacturing excellence initiatives.

• NQF Level 7 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years' management experience within automotive component manufacturing or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience with PLC and drive programming, particularly:
  • Mitsubishi
  • Siemens
  • Beckhoff
• Strong maintenance planning, data analysis and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 / ISO/TS 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSA.
• Proven leadership and people-management experience.
• Willingness to work shifts.

• Kaizen / Lean Manufacturing experience
