Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our Wholesale Telecoms division on a 3-year contract. The successful candidate will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, focusing on the optimization of Wholesale Connectivity Services, OSS (Operations Support Systems), and Network Inventory Management.

You will play a critical role in enhancing Service Fulfilment and Service Assurance processes, ensuring the efficient delivery and maintenance of wholesale network solutions to our partners and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering

Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for wholesale connectivity products (e.g., Ethernet, IP Transit, Dark Fibre, MPLS).

Translate complex business needs into functional and technical specifications for OSS architecture and development teams.

Conduct gap analysis to identify inefficiencies in current workflows and propose scalable solutions.

Facilitate workshops with cross-functional teams, including Network Engineering, IT, Wholesale Sales, and external partners.

OSS & Process Optimization

Map and re-engineer Service Fulfilment processes (Order Management, Provisioning, Activation) to reduce lead times and improve customer experience.

Define and refine Service Assurance processes (Fault Management, Performance Management, SLA Reporting) to ensure high availability and rapid resolution of network incidents.

Analyze the integration between the CRM, OSS, and BSS layers to ensure seamless data flow.

Network Inventory Management

Drive requirements for the enhancement of Network Inventory Management systems to ensure accurate representation of physical and logical network resources.

Ensure data integrity within inventory systems to support efficient capacity planning and service provisioning.

Collaborate with network planning teams to align inventory data with physical infrastructure rollouts.

Stakeholder Management & Delivery

Act as the primary liaison between business units and software development/engineering teams.

Support the testing phase (UAT) by creating test cases, validating functionality, and ensuring solutions meet the defined business requirements.

Manage the backlog of requirements and assist in prioritizing features based on business value and ROI.

Provide regular progress reports to Project Managers and Senior Stakeholders.

Key Requirements (Qualifications & Experience)

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. Business Analysis certification (CBAP, CCBA, or equivalent) is advantageous.

Experience

Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within the Telecommunications industry.

Proven experience in Wholesale Telecoms environments (Carrier-to-Carrier, Wholesale Connectivity).

Strong understanding of OSS/BSS ecosystems and TM Forum standards (eTOM, SID, Open APIs).

Demonstrable experience with Service Fulfilment and Service Assurance process design.

Hands-on experience with Network Inventory Management systems (e.g., Granite, Netcracker, Cramer, or similar).

Technical Skills

Solid understanding of network technologies (SDH, DWDM, Ethernet, IP/MPLS).

Proficiency in process modeling tools (Visio, Lucidchart, ARIS).

Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence).

Soft Skills

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills (ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders).

High level of attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
