Trainee Accountant

Are you looking for an opportunity to kick-start your career in accounting? STK Accounting is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Trainee Accountant to join our team on an ACCA training contract. No formal qualification or experience required — we train the profession, with full structured support.

● Assist with bookkeeping, reconciliations and maintenance of financial data

● Write up client cashbooks, and record and reconcile debtors and creditors ledgers

● Calculate and reconcile VAT returns

● Run client payrolls and submit EMP201 and UI19 returns

● Prepare monthly management accounts and annual financial statements under supervision

● Prepare tax computations and SARS submissions as you learn the compliance side

● Assist with audit and client work as part of your training

● Handle queries from SARS, the Department of Labour and CIPC on clients' behalf

● Build toward full ACCA qualification with the firm's support

● No formal accounting qualification required

● Good attention to detail and a head for numbers

● Committed to studying towards ACCA alongside the role

● Basic computer literacy — Excel familiarity is an advantage

● Strong communication and organisational skills

● Self-motivated and reliable

● ACCA training contract with structured support

● Hands-on experience across the full accounting function

● Xero training, kept current every year

● R 12,500.00 CTC
