Electrician - Western Cape

Our client is seeking an Electrician to with plastic manufacturing experience in Western Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical maintenance across production equipment in their facility

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance on plastic manufacturing and auxiliary equipment
• Respond to electrical breakdowns and carry out effective repairs
• Conduct preventative maintenance according to planned schedules
• Diagnose faults on electrical control and automation systems
• Assist with installations, commissioning, upgrades, and machine modifications
• Support root cause investigations into recurring electrical failures
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability
• Maintain maintenance reports, work orders, and technical records
• Work closely with production and mechanical maintenance teams
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and applicable electrical standards

Candidate Requirements

• Matric
• Trade Tested Electrician
• 3 - 5 Years electrician experience in the plastic industry
• Electrical troubleshooting and fault-finding capabilities
• Experience with PLCs, VSDs, sensors, and industrial control systems advantageous
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
