Production Manager

We are seeking a Production Manager with meat manufacturing experience to manage production operations in the Western Cape. The successful candidate will provide leadership across production, working with cross-functional teams to optimise processes, manage resources, and achieve operational targets

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage daily production activities
• Translate production plans into achievable manufacturing schedules
• Manage production supervisors and operational teams
• Monitor key production metrics, including yield, efficiency, waste, and downtime
• Ensure production processes meet food safety and quality requirements
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective measures
• Coordinate with maintenance to ensure maximum equipment availability
• Drive process improvement and cost-reduction initiatives
• Manage labour, raw materials, equipment, and production resources
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, hygiene, health, and safety standards
• Prepare and report on production performance

Minimum Requirements

• Matric
• Diploma Operations Management
• 3 - 5 Years production management experience in meat processing
• Understanding of meat production processes
• Experience managing and developing production teams
• HACCP, GMP, and food safety systems knowledge
