Head of Sales (Africa Expansion)

d6

More than 2,500 schools across Southern Africa run on d6. The next chapter is the rest of the continent, and we are looking for a leader to build it.

We are hiring a Functional Owner: Sales (Africa Expansion) to own and grow d6's business across Africa beyond South Africa.

At d6, we build software that helps schools run better, so that principals can lead, teachers can teach, and learners can learn. Our school management platform covers curriculum, administration, finance and communication, and our debt and sponsorship management tools go further still, all trusted by school communities across Southern Africa. Now we want to become the school management solution of choice across the continent, and that takes a rare kind of sales leader.

This is a build role. You will open new markets, lead an international team across countries and cultures, and design a sales engine that scales through data, automation and AI, so revenue grows faster than headcount.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Builds senior relationships with pan-African school associations, ministries and public sector bodies, and turns them into real access
  • Runs the business on evidence: unit economics, forecasting, pipeline discipline and a live dashboard as the single source of truth
  • Puts AI and automation to work, from daily hands-on use to designing and running agents that scale the sales motion
  • Leads a multi-country team, adapting to local realities without dropping the standard
  • Brings at least 5 years in B2B SaaS sales, including 3 years leading an international team

The best person for this is rare: someone who can hold a room full of ministry officials, read the unit economics behind a market, and build the automation that scales it. If that is you, we should talk.

  • Based in Pretoria | Extensive travel across Africa
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field | Valid passport required

If you want to build something that matters to school communities across a continent, we would love to hear from you.
