Central Planning Analyst: Replenishment

JOB PURPOSE
To be responsible for the analysis of replenishment performance, user support and the operational governance of the RPL policies and processes to the achievement of the Company’s merchandise objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analysis (30%)
Conducting intensive analysis and interrogation of replenishment performance across the company
- Reporting (25%)
Proactively reporting on exceptions, risks & opportunities identified in the analysis of product performance and providing the business with recommendations
- Governance of Replenishment policies and procedures (25%)
- Training & Development (20%)
Process training and refresher training to all users.
Networking and building relationships with all stakeholders to meet Company objectives:
- Planners and Store Planners
- Heads of Planning
- Systems Analyst
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Grade 12 Certificate/Matric
- B. Comm./ B. Science degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Stats and/or Business Science
- National Diploma majoring in Internal Auditing and/or Cost and Management Accounting
- National Diploma in Financial Information Systems
- National Diploma/ degree in Business/Retail/Merchandise Management or Accounting/Finance
EXPERIENCE
Essential
- A minimum of 3 years Product Planning experience within a clothing retail / FMCG environment
- Working experience in replenishment planning systems
- Working experience in the latest Microsoft packages (Word, PowerPoint & Advanced Excel)
- 2-3 years’ experience in analyzing information
Preferred
- Additional Store Planning experience (more than 1 year).
- Replenishment experience (2-3 years)
- Previous exposure to and understanding of logistics and supply chain processes
KNOWLEDGE
- Expert product knowledge on the Just Enough tool or a similar replenishment system
- Knowledge of the Retail merchandise cycle in terms of Buying, Planning, Logistics and Stores
- Knowledge of the retail and merchandise planning processes
- Knowledge and understanding of seasonal and non-seasonal replenishments
