TOOLMAKER – METAL & STEEL MANUFACTURING

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Toolmaker to join our manufacturing team in Pretoria North, Rosslyn.

Key Responsibilities

- Manufacture and maintain tools, dies, jigs, fixtures and moulds.

- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

- Operate conventional and precision machining equipment.

- Perform turning, milling, drilling, grinding and fitting.

- Repair, modify and maintain production tooling.

- Identify tooling problems and implement effective solutions.

- Ensure tools meet required specifications and quality standards.

- Conduct preventative maintenance on tooling and equipment.

- Work closely with production and maintenance teams.

- Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment.

Requirements

- Qualified Toolmaker with relevant trade certification.

- Experience in High Pressure Die Cast machines essential.

- Experience in Mechanical Presses advantages.

- Previous experience in a metal/steel manufacturing environment.

- Strong knowledge of machining, tooling and fitting.

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

- Experience with conventional machines and/or CNC equipment will be an advantage.

- Good problem-solving and technical skills.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Able to work independently and as part of a team.

- Must be reliable, disciplined and safety conscious.
