Role Purpose

Developing, testing, deploying and maintaining impactful dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions. This role partners with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, reliable, and visually compelling insights that drive operational and strategic success.

Requirements

• National Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, BTech, or equivalent qualification in Information Technology
• Microsoft Data and Analytics certifications (e.g., PL-300 Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst) will be advantageous
• 3–5 years' experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics and Reporting Development
• Proven experience developing reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI
• Experience working with relational databases and SQL development (SSMS experience essential)
• Experience operating within an Agile and/or Scrum environment is advantageous

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions.
• Develop scalable and sustainable reporting solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Build visually engaging dashboards that effectively communicate business insights.
• Ensure reporting solutions meet agreed functionality, performance, and quality standards.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document reporting requirements.
• Provide regular communication regarding project progress, milestones, and delivery timelines.
• Support user adoption through training, demonstrations, and user guidance documentation.
• Conduct root-cause analysis of data quality issues and propose corrective solutions.
• Validate data accuracy and completeness across reporting solutions.
• Perform unit testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Monitor dashboard and report performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve data refresh rates, query performance, and report usability.
• Optimise SQL queries, datasets, and data models to improve efficiency.
• Ensure reporting solutions remain reliable and scalable as business needs evolve.
• Document business rules, calculations, assumptions, and report specifications.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
